My Divination Training
After a full year of apprenticeship, I have been sanctioned by an Initiated African Elder, Malidoma Somé and his ancestors as a certified Cowrie Shell Diviner, and as such it is my pleasure to offer divinations rooted in cosmology of the Dagara Tribe of West Africa through the vehicle of the medicine wheel to offer direction and clarity by consulting our elemental ancestors: Earth, Fire, Mineral, Water, and Nature.

““I recently had the opportunity to have a Cowrie Shell Divination (in the Dagara tradition of Malidoma Patrice Somé) with Maya. When I initially signed up, it seemed merely a curiosity for me and I honestly didn’t expect much. I was quite surprised! I am a practicing Five Element Acupuncturist of 25 years and the format for the divination utilized the Five Elements in nearly the exact way that they are perceived of in Chinese medicine; this resonated deeply with me as it has been a major aspect underpinning of my life view.
